About Us
As a Southern Baptist Church, FBCO’s doctrinal beliefs are in alignment with the Southern Baptist Faith & Message 2000. We believe that forgiveness of sin and salvation from Hell come through faith in Jesus Christ alone. For this reason, FBCO's Mission Statement is based on the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This mission, the purpose that FBCO exists, is to be a place of disciples making disciples. This means that everyone from the pastoral staff, to the deacons, to the members and regular attenders, have all joined in one mind and purpose to faithfully share the gospel with our community and the world, while growing in our faith and helping other believers grow in theirs.
Our Doctrine & Mission
The Mission
"To encourage believers to grow into a deeper relationship with the Lord, and to share the clear and simple message of salvation with our community and the world."
“All People, Living As Family, Serving God”
FBCO's Vision Statement is the prayer for our church, that as we are faithful to fulfill our Mission we will become:
Our Vision
1) A church that represents our diverse community of different races, economic classes, social classes, backgrounds, and struggles
("All people").
2) A church united in the same spirit, love, and mind by caring for one another daily
("living as family").
3) A church where every believer would be faithful stewards by obediently using their spiritual gifts to serve God by serving the body
("serving God").
